McKenzie Police Reports

Domestic Assault — Timothy L. Gilbert, Everett Street, McKenzie, was charged with Domestic Assault on September 26.

Officer Jayden Rembert was dispatched to the residence, where Gilbert and a female had first had a verbal altercation and then Gilbert reportedly assaulted her. A witness corroborated the victim’s statement.

Mr. Gilbert was arrested and placed under a $2,500 bond.

Violation of Probation — On September 23, Billy Borum was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Violation of Probation in Carroll County.

Officers Raspberry and Darren Davis responded to Everett Street, where Borum had just ‘run away’ from first responders on an EMS call. The officers located Borum near the woods behind the Everett Street residence. He was taken into custody.

Violation of Probation — Michael Watne was arrested on September 23 on an outstanding warrant of Violation of Probation.

Officer Justin Brister observed Watne driving his Jeep Cherokee and initiated a traffic stop concerning the outstanding warrant from Carroll County. After properly inventoried, the vehicle was released to a friend. Officers transported Watne to Carroll County Jail.
