McKenzie Police Reports

Especially Aggravated Burglary — Two men were arrested for Especially Aggravated Burglary on August 30.

Officer Michael Cunningham responded to an open 911 call and went to a McKenzie residence, where the officer found two Hispanic males attempting to leave. Both had entered the home and assaulted a male, who was accused of being with the former girlfriend of one of the assailants.

Ezequiel Zuniga Villanueva, May Street, McKenzie, was arrested for Especially Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Assault. Mauricio Lopez, Hidden Acre Road, no city listed, was arrested for Especially Aggravated Burglary.

The report indicates Ezequiel entered the home and assaulted the male, breaking his nose. The victim was transported to Baptist Hospital for treatment.

Both Ezequiel and Mauricio were transported to Carroll County Jail. Both were issued notices of ban from the residence. Neither arrestee had a U.S.-issued I.D.

Driving on a Suspended License — Fourth Offense — Joshua Manley, Patte Road, Arlington, was arrested on the charge of Driving on a Suspended License-Fourth Offense on August 29.

Officer Jayden Rembert stopped a vehicle for no working taillights and learned that the driver’s license was suspended. Manley was arrested on the suspended charge and cited into court on a separate light law violation.

Public Intoxication — Timothy Johnson, Everett Street, McKenzie, was arrested for Public Intoxication after a customer at a business complained Johnson was outside the store begging for money and cursing. Officers Cunningham and Rembert spoke with Johnson and arrested him.

Criminal Traffic Violation/Criminal Impersonation — Mekayla D. Johnson, Nashville, was charged with Criminal Traffic Violation following a traffic stop on August 27.

Officer Timothy Dillon stopped Johnson’s vehicle for speeding. Mekayla presented the officer with a license, but it was not hers. According to Metro Nashville Police, it was stolen from her twin sister because Mekayla’s was suspended. Warrants were issued for Mekayla for Criminal Impersonation.

Unlawful Photographing in Violation of Privacy — A local man was arrested for videoing consensual sex between him and a young adult lady. When police confronted the man, he erased the video. Police issued a warrant to take the phone as evidence.
