McKenzie Police Reports Week of September 4 2026

Driving on a Suspended License — David Armando, Jr., 8th Street, Murphysboro, Illinois, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License after he was speeding in a school zone.

Officer Justin Brister witnessed Armando driving approximately 48 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone in front of McKenzie High School, On September 4 at 3:02 p.m., Brister stopped Armando's vehicle, discovered the suspended status out of Illinois and cited him into General Sessions Court.


Criminal Trespass — Terin Harris, Alabama Street, McKenzie, was charged with Criminal Trespass on September 3.

Officer Michael Cunningham was dispatched to Dollar General on Highway 22, where the store manager said Harris was previously twice banned from the store. Harris was arrested and transported to Henry County Jail. 


Warrant Service — Howard Plunkett, May Street, McKenzie, was arrested on September 3 on an outstanding active warrant for Violation of Probation.

Officers Timothy Dillon and Beauchamp arrested Plunkett and transported him to Carroll County Jail.


Warrant Service — Zhiquae Baker, Park Street, McKenzie phoned McKenzie Police Department on August 31 to voluntarily report he had 'just found out that he had a warrant and wanted to turn himself in."

Officer Daniel Pollard went to the residence and took Baker into custody on a Henry County warrant for Assault. Officer Pollard transferred the arrestee to a Henry County officer near the Carroll-Henry County line.
