McKenzie Rotary Learns About CTE at McKenzie Schools
From the May 13, 2025 e-Edition
McKENZIE (May 6) - Susan Dyer, director of the Career-Technical Education at McKenzie Schools, was the featured speaker at the McKenzie Rotary Club on Tuesday, May 6.
Dyer said Career-Technical Education has significantly expanded in recent years with the State of Tennessee’s emphasis as part of the primary and secondary education. Students learn about robotics, nursing, agriculture, and technical skills as upper classmen in high school are eligible to travel to TCAT in McKenzie or Paris, or the Carroll County Technical School in Huntingdon to learn advanced trade skills.
The students also make site visits to area industries and companies.
Mrs. Dyer invited Rotary members to visit the high school to learn more about the CTE programs.
