McKenzie Senior Citizens Center Hosts Banquet

HUNTINGDON (August 16) — The McKenzie Senior Citizens Center held its annual banquet Saturday at the Carroll County Civic Center.
Dozens attended the beach-themed event, which featured a delicious catered meal by Debbie and Steve Thompson, live music by Flashback, awards and the crowning of the new king and queen.
Last year's king and queen, George and Dot Harper, crowned their successors, Kelly Frye and Nancy Davenport.

Guests enjoyed the fun and fellowship and danced the night away to Flashback's eclectic set.

New Portrait of Hal Holbrook Unveiled at The Dixie PAC
HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — The legacy of the late actor Hal Holbrook has been immortalized in a new oil portrait, unveiled Wednesday, August 19, at the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center. The painting, created by artist and former art professor Lindon Noe, now hangs in the Center, serving as a companion piece to an existing portrait of Holbrook’s wife, the late Dixie Carter-Holbrook.
