McKenzie Schools’ Summer Food Service Program Open Through July 16
From the Jun 15, 2021 e-EditionMcKenzie Special School District’s Summer Food Service Program is open now through July 16, Monday through Friday, except for July 5-6.
Food is served at McKenzie Elementary School, 165 Brooks Avenue. Breakfast is served from 8-9 a.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Anyone 18 years of age or younger can eat for free every day. Adults are welcome to eat for a cost of $1.50 for breakfast and $3 for lunch.

McKenzie School Board Approves $15.7 Million Budget
McKENZIE (July 7) — The McKenzie Special School District Board of Education approved a $15.7 million budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year during a brief meeting Tuesday afternoon. Also approved was the certified property tax rate of $.7483 per $100 assessed value, unchanged from last year. The tax rate is distributed between the General Purpose Fund ($.4898) and the Debt Service Fund ($.2585).
