McKenzie Takes Perry County in Region Semis

McKENZIE (May 10) — On Friday, the McKenzie Rebel faced off against Perry County in the Region 6A Semi-Final. Jake Cassidy pitched a one hit game with eleven strikeouts claiming the 9-0 victory.
Cole Brown got a base hit that got Hayden Garrett and Ace Brown home in the bottom of the first. In the bottom of the second Lelan Gordon got home off of a fielding error by Perry County. The next hit wasn’t until the fifth inning. The Rebels got 4 more hits which sent them into the sixth inning up 7-0. McKenzie finished off the game with a hit from Tate Surber and Gage Crosland with a final score of 9-0.
McKenzie advanced to play Collinwood on Saturday for the Region title.
