McKenzie Taproom Opens in Downtown McKenzie, Tenn.

McKENZIE (April 24) — The McKenzie Chamber of Commerce welcomed two new businesses downtown on Thursday, April 24. Among them is the McKenzie Taproom, a new diner and taproom located at 27 Broadway. Matt and AnneMarie Tanner own this establishment, which is the first satellite operation of Paris Station.

McKenzie Taproom is open from Thursday to Saturday, from 5 to 9 p.m., offering a menu that includes sandwiches along with a selection of custom and brand-name beers.

The event featured a ribbon-cutting event hosted by the McKenzie Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with participation from local business people, government officials, and community members. McKenzie Mayor Ryan Griffin, Carroll County Mayor Joseph Butler, and Chamber Executive Monica Heath were present to welcome the Tanners.

AnneMarie Tanner mentioned that they plan to expand their hours in the near future, as well as the establishment itself. They intend to utilize the adjacent burned-out building space to introduce games and activities. The Tanners also have plans to expand their business model to other rural cities to aid in downtown revitalization.

Katelyn Spears is the general manager and Dakota Wells is the brewmaster. The business employs five staff members. Additionally, the Tanners own the building where City Florist is located.
