Israel Melton is New Drug Court Director

The 24th Judicial Drug Court of the Circuit Judge Brent Bradberry, announces its new program director, Israel Melton. Mr. Melton will manage the program for the counties of Carroll, Henry and Benton. The program is in its second year and has been successful thus far.

Other counties that participate in the program are Hardin and Decatur. Director Josh Adkison voiced, “I believe that Mr. Melton will be a great asset to the program and its participants.”

Mr. Israel Melton has 14 years of experience in the field of alcohol and drug abuse treatment. He is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor and Certified Prime for Life Instructor for DUI offenders, and facilitator certified for Moral Reconation Therapy. He has had the roles of outpatient counselor, residential counselor, and clinical director. Mr. Melton recently celebrated 18 years of sobriety.

Program Director Melton began his role with the program on October 7, 2024. The board members of the program and Judge Bradberry are excited for Mr. Melton to have accepted this role and believe the program will continue to be successful and aid the community and most importantly the participants.

“I am looking forward to using my knowledge in the field of recovery and my own personal experiences in recovery to help my community make genuine progress in fighting addiction and recidivism rates of offenders in our area,” said Melton.
