McKenzie Alumni Decades Reunion is Two Weeks Away

McKENZIE — McKenzie High School Alumni Association is hosting its first Decades Reunion on October 4 and 5 with a parade, golf tournament, homecoming game, block party and individual class reunions.
The events kick off with the Alumni Association Golf Tournament on Friday, October 4, 8 a.m. at Carroll Lake Golf Course. All golfers need to be present by 7:45 a.m.
Homecoming Parade — The traditional Homecoming Parade begins at noon on Friday in downtown McKenzie, travels down Stonewall and passed both the McKenzie Middle School and McKenzie Elementary School.
Pre-game Decades Reunion begins at 4:30 p.m. outside of Rebel Stadium. The start time is 4:30 p.m. and continues until 8:30 p.m. Admission to the game is $7 and must be paid by all attendees as they tailgate. Food will be provided by the Alumni Association. An RSVP is requested to participate. The reunion area is casual and come-and-go.
A Block Party in Downtown McKenzie is at 10 p.m.
Saturday is filled with individual class reunions.

6 p.m. is the Class of 2014 Reunion at the New Valley Event Venue - Gleason. Katelyn Ridley Robertson is the contact through Facebook Messenger.
Pop-up memorabilia is now available for viewing at City Florist Monday to Friday (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) and on Saturday, October 5, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The exhibit is located in McKenzie City Florist, 17 Broadway, downtown.
The weekend is capped with the band Flashback performing at Hometown Hangout from 6 to 8 p.m. It is a place to gather with friends, get dinner, and listen to live music. It is located at 14985 Highland Drive.
