From the Aug 27, 2024 e-EditionHUMBOLDT-Funeral services for Minner Mae Hicks areTuesday, August 27, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Mack’s Grove Cemetery, Palmersville, Tenn.
Ms. Hicks, 82, died Friday, August 23, 2024, at Methodist University Hospital, Memphis. She worked in the restaurant business and owned Henry Station and Minner’s Café in Henry, Tenn. and she was a member of Old Hickory Church of Christ, Jackson, Tenn. She was born on May 6, 1942, in Palmersville to Minner Lovie Gilbert and Helen Mae McGehee Gilbert.
She is survived by three daughters,Cheryl King, Sandra Hernandez and Sheila Willis, all of McKenzie, three sons, James (Marlene) Ozment of Henry, Richard “Ozzie” (Sonya) Ozment of McKenzie and David (Regina) Ozment of McKenzie, eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeremy) Thomas, William E Ozment, Sarah (Matthew) Page, Kent ( Crystal) Ozment, Jesse (Lori) Chesser, Amanda Ozment, Cody (Meagan) Brown and Stephen (Jamie) Brown and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, JT Biggers and James Jr Biggers.
