Mitchell, Bell Advance in Tennessee Songwriters Contest

HUNTINGDON (February 7) — Twelve incredible songwriters took the stage for the Tenn. Songwriters Week Qualifying Round, sharing real, raw talent with an amazing audience. They shared their incredible original stories, lyrics, and melodies.

Congratulations to Mayce Mitchell and Madi Bell, of Lexington, who are advancing to the semifinals for a chance to play the finals at the legendary Bluebird Cafe! Mitchell is a graduate of West Carroll High School and a Trezevant resident.

The Dixie administration and staff offered "a heartfelt thank-you to all of our contestants, our wonderful judges - Bryan Moffitt, Sophia Wright, and Tremayne Johnson - and to Bryan Moffitt for a special set after the winners were announced. We’re also grateful to Joel T. Washburn for capturing the evening so beautifully."
