Two Motorcyclists Die in Collision

McKENZIE (July 6) — A husband and wife died after their Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on State Route 124 on July 6 around 7 p.m.
Derrick Potter, 33, and Elisa Potter, 31 of State Route 124, McKenzie in Weakley County, were traveling north on Brawners Road, McKenzie when they collided with Jeffery Harrison, 54, no address listed, traveling on State Route 124. Harrison and his passenger, Aimee Hoskins, 34, were injured during the collision.
Tennessee Highway Patrol provides this information, but does not provide the cities of residence and the report does not provide who was at fault.
The Potters were the owners of Liberty Hardscapes and Excavation, LLC, of McKenzie. Mr. Potter was wearing a helmet and Elisha Potter was not.
Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and McKenzie Fire/Rescue plus EMS responded to the scene.
