Mustangs Baseball Field is Renamed Eubanks Field
From the Sep 23, 2025 e-Edition
HUNTINGDON (September 17) — Huntingdon Baseball Coach Alan Eubanks was honored Wednesday night. The Huntingdon High School baseball field now bears the name Eubanks Field following the unanimous vote by the Huntingdon Special School District Board of Education.
Dr. Jonathan Kee, director of schools, recommended the name change to honor Eubanks and his successful 22 years as the skipper of the school's Huntingdon Mustangs baseball team.
His record:
16 district championships
7 regional championships
9 state appearances
3 state runner-up trophies
16 players who also played collegiate ball
1 pro player
Dr. Kee said Eubanks dedicates many hours to maintain the field and coach the young athletes. Kee also said Eubanks is not retiring; the naming is to honor his success and commitment.
A formal ceremony will dedicate the naming of the field and the completion of the new combination pressbox, concession area, and restrooms.
