Mustangs Dominate Opponents to Claim Title

KINGSTON SPRINGS (May 9-10) — The Huntingdon Mustangs are Region 6AA Baseball Tournament Champions after two dominant shutout wins. On Friday, they defeated Hickman County 13-0. Saturday, they topped Stewart County 14-0. The tournament was hosted by Harpeth High School.
Semifinal: Huntingdon Mustangs 13, Hickman County Bulldogs 0
Huntingdon set the tone with eight runs in the bottom of the first, added four in the third and one in the fourth to end the game after five innings.
Mustang Brady Warbritton was 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple, four RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen base. Gray Eubanks went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored. Aiden Hilliard was 1-for-2 with a triple, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. Easton Byars went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Broox Bennett was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a stolen base. Silas Sharp went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Gabe Smothers was 1-for-1 with an RBI. Braylon Rich went 0-for-1 with a walk and two runs scored. Braylin Dearmon was 0-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Hayes Eubanks went 0-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.
Caleb Ezell earned the complete-game shutout for Huntingdon, allowing four hits while striking out five and walking one.
Championship: Mustangs 14, Stewart County Rebels 0
Huntingdon scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the first, three in the second and nine in the third for the five-inning win.
Mustang Gray Eubanks was 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, a walk, three RBIs and three runs scored. Brady Warbritton was 1-for-1 with a home run, two walks, two RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen base. Braylon Rich went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Caleb Ezell was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Silas Sharp went 1-for-1 with a walk. Owen Hugueley was 1-for-1. Hayes Eubanks went 0-for-0 with a walk, two RBIs and a run scored. Braylin Dearmon was 0-for-1 with an RBI and a run scored. Broox Bennett went 0-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.
Easton Byars earned the complete-game shutout for Huntingdon, allowing three hits while striking out five and walking none.
