Mustangs, Fillies, Bulldogs Ranked in Latest Poll
From the Jan 27, 2026 e-EditionNASHVILLE (January 26) — The Tennessee Sports Writers Association and USA Today Network announced the second week of basketball rankings for the 2025-26 season on Monday. Several area teams are ranked in the top ten of their classification, including both teams from Huntingdon and the Gleason Bulldogs.
In Boys Class 1A, Eagleville (16-0) holds the top spot for the second straight week. Gleason (17-3) holds steady at Number 7.
In Boys Class 2A, Chattanooga Prep (8-10) is Number 1. Huntingdon (13-3) sits at Number 4, up three spots from last week.
In Girls Class 2A, York Institute (18-3) stays in the top spot. Huntingdon (18-3) is at Number 4, up one spot and sandwiched between Number 3 Westview (16-3, steady) and Number 5 Gibson County (18-6, up a spot).
