Mustangs Sweep Scotts Hill in Home-Away Set
From the Apr 7, 2026 e-EditionREAGAN/HUNTINGDON (March 30-31) — Huntingdon High School and Scotts Hill baseball played a home-away set to start the week. The Mustangs earned an 8-7 road win Monday, then completed the sweep Tuesday with a 5-3 victory at home.
Huntingdon Mustangs 8, Scotts Hill Lions 7
In Monday's game, Scotts Hill struck first with a run in the bottom of the first. Huntingdon tied it in the top of the third, but the Lions scored one in the home half to regain the lead. The Mustangs tied it again in the fourth, then opened up a big lead with six runs in the fifth. Scotts Hill plated one in the sixth, then came up just short of the comeback with four in the bottom of the seventh.
Mustang Silas Sharp was 1-for-3 with two walks and two RBIs. Hayes Eubanks was 1-for-5 with a triple, three RBIs and a run scored. Caleb Ezell was 1-for-1 with two RBIs and a run scored. Colt Wood was 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases. Owen Kreuziger was 1-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. Cy Hankins was 0-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored. Broox Bennett was 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base. Braylin Dearmon was 0-for-3 with two walks and a stolen base. Owen Hugueley was 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.
Lion Ridley Clenny was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two walks and two runs scored. Avery Holmes was 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. Mason Beers was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Silas Puckett was 1-for-1 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Hade Britt was 1-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and a stolen base. Cooper Petty was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Deacon Todd was 1-for-4 with a run scored. Jonas Howard was 1-for-4. Ty Bartholomew was 1-for-5 with an RBI.
Caleb Ezell earned the win for Huntingdon, allowing three earned runs on seven hits while walking four and striking out three in five and a third innings. Braylin Dearmon pitched the final inning and two-thirds, allowing four earned runs on four hits while walking three and striking out five.
Mason Beers took the loss for Scotts Hill, allowing one unearned run on one hit while walking three and striking out one in three innings. Trevor Johnson pitched an inning and a third of relief, allowing four earned runs on two hits and three walks. Benjamin Yarbro threw a third of an inning, allowing three earned runs on one hit while walking three and striking out one. Silas Puckett pitched the final two and a third innings, allowing no runs on one hit with no walks and two strikeouts.
Mustangs 5, Lions 3
On Tuesday, Scotts Hill again struck first, scoring two runs in the top of the first and adding one in the third. Huntingdon cut the deficit with two in the bottom of the fourth, then took the lead with three in the fifth.
Mustang Broox Bennett was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Kenton Smith was 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. Braylin Dearmon was 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base. Silas Sharp was 0-for-1 with two walks and a run scored. Caleb Ezell was 0-for-0 with three walks. Hayes Eubanks was 0-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base.

Hayden Strop got the start for Huntingdon, allowing three earned runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out three in three innings. Kenton Smith pitched the final four frames, allowing no runs on two hits while walking two and striking out two.
Jonas Howard started for Scotts Hill, allowing five runs (three earned) on four hits while walking six and striking out six in five innings. Hade Britt threw the final frame, allowing no runs or hits with one walk.
