From the Nov 18, 2025 e-EditionHUNTINGDON, Tenn. — Mrs. Nancy Sue Crossett, 88, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died peacefully with loved ones on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her home.
Funeral services are 1 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2025, in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home with burial to follow in Liberty All Cemetery. Brother Jacob Harris officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Mrs. Crossett was born March 10, 1937, to the late Thomas Earl Wood and Daisy Avo (Milam) Wood in Carroll County, Tennessee and was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Dwayne Crossett; six siblings, John Wood, Elizabeth Miller, Ouida Felts, Thomas Wood, Kenneth Wood, and Byron Wood; and one grandson, Jeremy Crossett. She was a member of Liberty All Church and also attended First Baptist Church in Huntingdon.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Crossett of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two sons, Danny (Karen Gurley) Crossett of Jackson, Tennessee, and Jimmy (Paula) Crossett of Huntingdon, Tennessee; brother Leslie (Pam) Wood of Thurmont, Maryland; 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Randy Crossett, Ryan Crossett, Jacob Crossett, Connor Gray, Jace Crossett and Dave Wood.
Dilday-Carter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements 731-986-8281.
