PARIS (August 18) — Nathan Whiting has been named the new vice president of operations at L.I. Smith & Associates, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience to the Paris-based company.
Whiting's experience spans the U.S. Army Green Berets and industries including aviation and professional skydiving, aerospace and defense, agriculture, logistics and enterprise technology.
Throughout his career, Whiting has focused on bringing teams together, improving communication, strengthening operations and developing systems that promote accountability and long-term success. His experience has given him a strong understanding of how to lead through change and turn organizational priorities into clear action.
Before joining LIS, Whiting served with management consulting firm Credera, founded Whiting Advisory — where he worked with organizations across several industries to improve efficiency and strengthen leadership alignment — and most recently served as senior program manager at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
As vice president of operations, Whiting will work across departments to improve coordination, strengthen internal processes and help ensure LIS is prepared to support its clients and continued growth. In a press release, the company said Whiting's experience will be especially valuable as LIS expands its capabilities and takes on increasingly complex projects across the Southeast.
“We are excited to welcome Nathan to the LIS leadership team,” said Patrick Smith, president of L.I. Smith & Associates. “His experience leading teams, improving operations and building strong organizational systems will be a tremendous asset to our company. We look forward to the positive impact he will have on our employees, clients and the future of LIS.”
