New Highway, New School Sign

ATWOOD — With the opening of the new Atwood bypass highway, the purpose of a new digital informational sign at West Carroll School District’s Central Office came to fruition.
Last week, Tennessee Department of Transportation opened the long awaited highway that bypasses the Atwood business district. The new road currently terminates at SR 77 in Atwood near West Carroll Junior/Senior High School.
On May 2, the Board of Education for the West Carroll Special School District voted to install a digital roadside sign to inform motorists of the events at West Carroll Schools.
GSC Signs of McKenzie installed the signage. Federal COVID relief funds, known as ESSER funds, were used to pay for the signs.
