From the Aug 20, 2024 e-Edition
McKENZIE (August 17) — On Saturday, Bethel University kicked off the 2024-2025 school year with its annual Freshman Carnival.
The front lawn of Campbell Hall was lined with tents and tables by representatives of local businesses, organizations and churches welcoming the university students to McKenzie.
Over 300 students took advantage of freebies, survival swag and information to help them ease into their freshman year.
Thursday, August 15, was designated as move-in day, while student-athletes have been on campus even earlier prepping for the upcoming season.
The event is designed to educate the freshmen about the McKenzie community and foster connections between the university and area.
