Carroll County News-Leader Changes Family Ownership

HUNTINGDON (June 12) — Carroll County News-Leader, based in Huntingdon is under the new ownership of Richardson Media Group, Inc. with principal owners, Daniel and Lena Richardson, of Camden.

Magic Valley Publishing, Inc., (MVP), with Lisa Richardson as the principal owner, transferred ownership to her son’s company on Wednesday, June 12.

In addition to the Carroll County News-Leader, there are seven other publications in middle and West Tennessee were included in the acquisition, including the Camden Chronicle, Waverly News-Democrat, Crockett County Times, Lake County Banner, Buffalo River Review, Wayne County News, and Shoppers Classifieds.

There will be no interruption in publication or service. Richardson Media Group looks forward to continuing to publish a great newspaper.

These publications join nine other newspapers in middle and West Tennessee that compose Richardson Media Group.

While all MVP employees were given the opportunity to continue employment, some took the transition as an opportunity to pursue other interests.
