West Carroll High School is proud to announce the hiring of Nick Cobb as the new Defensive Coordinator for the War Eagles football program.
Coach Cobb brings with him seven years of coaching experience and a strong track record of success at multiple levels of high school football. He began his coaching career at Dresden Middle School and was quickly promoted to Head Coach during the 2019 season, where he laid the foundation for a competitive and disciplined program.
In 2021, Cobb joined the staff at McKenzie High School as an assistant coach. During his tenure, he played a vital role in the Rebels' 2022 TSSAA State Championship run, helping shape one of the most dominant defenses in the state.
For the past two seasons, Coach Cobb served as the Special Teams Coordinator at Peabody High School, where he continued to demonstrate his leadership, strategic acumen, and player development skills.
“We’re thrilled to have Coach Cobb join our staff,” said Head Coach Jay Taylor. “His passion for the game, dedication to student-athletes, and championship experience will be a tremendous asset to our program.”
“I am excited to have Coach Cobb with us in the following year. His success in the classroom and on the field is one of his top successes. I am excited to add another fantastic teacher to our staff.”- Dr. Adam Douglas
Coach Cobb and his fiancée, Anna, reside in Trenton with their dog, Cooper. He is excited to join the West Carroll community and looks forward to building a tough, disciplined, and high-performing defensive unit.
Please join us in welcoming Coach Nick Cobb to the War Eagle family.
