Funeral services for Norma Jean Padgett are Friday, March 13, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Brummitt‑McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Padgett, 79, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Charter Senior Living of Paris. She was born in Belle Glade, Florida, on November 9, 1946, to Abe Burns and Mary Francis Smith. She was a devoted homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, James David Padgett; her daughter, Mary Bess Toombs (Lynn) of McKenzie; her stepdaughter, Shannon Pavesic (Pete) of Port Charlotte, Fla.; her son, Chris Lutz of Huntingdon; her stepson, David Padgett of Nashville; two brothers, Bob Richardson (Janet) of West Palm, Fla., and Brad Burns of Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Madison Driggers, Luke Toombs, Lydia Lutz, and Kyle Lutz; two step‑grandchildren, Mia Hansen (Taylor) and Gavin Pavesic; and three great‑grandchildren, Krews Lutz, Brooks Lutz, and Luke Hansen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jim Burns.+
