It is a new year and it is time for the first meeting of the Huntingdon TN Historical Society. The society meets in the conference room of Huntingdon City Hall on Wednesday, January 21, at 9 a.m.

Joe Norval, principal of the Carroll County Technical Center, is an avid historical enthusiast with an emphasis on World War II and the American Civil War. He will share the story of a Carroll County hero who served in World War II.

Norval is a 35-year educator, having spent 31 years at Hollow Rock-Bruceton High School as principal, coach and teacher.

The Huntingdon TN Historical Society urges the public to join them as they learn the name of this local hero and the facts surrounding his heroism.

The Huntingdon TN Historical Society meets every third Wednesday of the month.
