Open House Planned for Multi-Purpose Building at MHS

McKENZIE — An open house for the public is Saturday, September 28, 3 to 5 p.m. for the new multi-purpose sports indoor complex at McKenzie High School.
The 3,710 square-foot facility, multi-purpose sports practice facility is used for various sports teams, bands and other school groups, including physical education. MHS football has used the facility extensively during the hottest of days. It is also used by soccer, softball, baseball and band.
It has heat and air, men’s and women’s dressing rooms, two retractable hitting cages for baseball and softball, an artificial turf floor - 50 yards of regulation football yardage and markings which include an end zone. There is also a baseball and softball diamond in the turf design.
General contractor Lashlee-Rich, Inc. constructed the building at a cost of $3,989,720.
