The family will receive friends on Friday, 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment is at Trezevant Cemetery immediately following the service.
Ouida Wilkes, 71, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was born on December 28, 1953, to Joe David and Brooxie Mae Tate Marshall. She was a member of Huntingdon First Baptist Church.
Ouida was a retired nurse practitioner and dedicated herself to the nursing profession for more than 50 years. She was a beautiful, strong, courageous, honest, and kind-hearted Mom, Nana, wife, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Hershel B. Wilkes, Jr, her children: Dana Crocker, Gina Stevens, Samantha (Tim) Chaney, and Trey Wilkes, her sisters: Betty Price, Shirley Connell, Kay (Dennis) Reed, and Tammy Winston, and brother: Jeff (Dana) Marshall. She was the adoring Nana of seven grandchildren: Matthew Stevens, Joseph Stevens, Brooxie Chaney, Tayler Chaney, Aubree Wilkes, Khloe Wilkes and Nicholas McCartney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Carolyn Baker and brother Larry David Marshall.
