Patrick Willis Named NFL Alumni Northern California Man of the Year
From the Aug 4, 2026 e-Edition
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tiger turned San Francisco 49er Patrick Willis was recently the proud recipient of the NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter Man of the Year Award. The NFL alum shared news of his award online on Tuesday, July 28.
"Still taking it all in," Willis said of the achievement. "Receiving the NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter Man of the Year Award is truly an honor.
"I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey - my family, teammates, coaches, mentors, friends, and the entire 49ers organization. None of this happens alone.
"To the legends who came before us, thank you for setting the standard and showing us what it means to represent this organization with pride, both on and off the field.
"Awards are special, but the relationships, memories, and impact we leave on others will always mean the most."
2026 is a big year of achievements for Willis, as he was inducted into the NFHS National High School Hall of Fame in late June.
Willis is also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 and the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2019.
Willis retired from the NFL in early 2015 after a seven-year career with the San Francisco 49ers.
