A Celebration of Life for Phillip J. Rorer is Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.
Mr. Rorer, 57 years old died Monday, September 8, 2025, at his residence. He is a graduate of McKenzie High School, Murray State University, a Field Safety Engineer for Amerisafe and a waterfowl guide. He was born in Huntingdon, TN on January 16, 1968, to Phillip Rorer and Janie Burroughs Hopewell.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Janie and John Hopwell, brother David Rorer and Reid Howell, a nephew, Nathan (Bethany) Rorer, two nieces, Hannah (David) White and Rachel Rorer, two great nephews, Dallen and Malaki, and three great nieces, Lainey, Kaydence, and Kaydrienne.
He is preceded in death by his father, Phillip “Buddy” Rorer.
