Pillowville Fire Department Designs, Assembles New Brush Truck
From the Oct 7, 2025 e-Edition
The Pillowville Fire Department recently introduced a new addition to its fleet, a brush truck completely designed and assembled by members of the department.
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 has full seating for six, on-board SCBA's, chainsaws, a 300-gallon water tank, a ten-gallon foam cell and other miscellaneous tools.
The truck replaces a 1996 Chevrolet that was purchased and completely outfitted by members of the department nearly two decades ago.
The department thanks every volunteer who had a hand in outfitting the truck and the members of the community who support the department through rural fire subscriptions, donations and fundraisers.
