RaeKar Begins McKenzie Solid Waste Pickup in July
From the Jun 4, 2024 e-Edition
McKENZIE (May 29) — Starting July 1, 2024, RaeKar, a Tennessee-based and family-owned waste services company, will begin trash-collection services for the City of McKenzie.
The company began trash-collection in January in Weakley County and has been expanding rapidly throughout the region, including opening a customer service hub in downtown Martin in August 2023, hiring top industry talent, and taking over collection routes to optimize service.
“We love being part of the West Tennessee community and are pleased to be able to extend our services to more residents,” said Tommy Legins, Vice President of Finance and Operations for RaeKar and sister company C&B Linen. “Dresden is the county seat of Weakley County, and neighboring McKenzie sits in Carroll County, near the border with Weakley and Henry counties. Adding municipal service for Dresden and McKenzie cements our status as the provider of choice throughout West Tennessee, delivering exemplary service at a price to residents that is lower than many neighboring and peer counties.”
Beyond providing excellent customer service, RaeKar prides itself on being a good corporate citizen of the communities it serves, regularly investing in local schools, sports teams and other community organizations.
Customer-service leadership for Dresden and McKenzie includes Danta Erwin and Tammy Morgan, both of whom are locally based in the Martin office, which is located at 311 S. Lindell St.
“We’re committed to being a highly visible member of the community, and we’re excited to get to know our customers and deliver a high level of customer service,” Legins added.
County residents can reach RaeKar with questions at 931-722-6186 or submit a form via its website (www.raekar.com).
