From the Jan 13, 2026 e-EditionMcKENZIE, Tenn. — Funeral services for Rebecca I. Cheatham are Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church in McKenzie. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Bro. Malcolm Norton is the officiant and Landon Hudgins, Kyle Hudgins, Zach Vandiver, Nathan Lease, Justin Lease and Jason Cheatham are pallbearers.
Mrs. Cheatham, 81, died at her residence on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was born on February 18, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois.
She is survived by her children Jeff (Kathleen) Cheatham of Clermont, Florida, Jennifer (Erich) Murrell of Frederick, Maryland, Jenise (Dennis) Tegethoff of McKenzie and Janna (Anthony) Parker of McKenzie, a sister, Nelda Ann Brewer of Russellville, Alabama, four grandchildren, Erin (Zach) Vandiver, Audrey Cheatham, Jason Cheatham and Monica (Michael) Terry, and four great-grandchildren Owen, Abby, Braden and Delilah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jason and Josie Armstrong, and her husband of 45 years, Arthur Cheatham.
