Rebels Claims District Title

McKenzie (May 3) — On Friday, the McKenzie Rebel High School Baseball Team defeated McEwen for the District Championship, 8-0.
Tate Surber was on the mound for the Rebels. McKenzie fielded the ball well in game and held McEwen to zero runs. The first run of the game was by Hayden Garrett off an RBI by Jake Cassidy in the third inning.
The didn’t score again until the fifth inning when Fletcher Holt hit Cassidy in. Holt got a run off of an interference call on McEwen’s pitcher. Holt got another hit that scored Garrett and Craegen Travis. Surber brought both Ace Brown and Holt in which ended the game 8-0 putting McKenzie as 1A District 11 Champions.
