Rebels Earn District Win Over Rockets on Senior Day

McKENZIE (March 31) — McKenzie High School hosted Clarksburg Monday for a district soccer match and celebrated Senior Day. The Rebels led 3-0 at the half before pulling away for a 10-1 victory.
At halftime, six Rebels seniors were recognized on the field, joined by family and friends.
Tyler McCalister was escorted by his mother, Sheri Dunham. Guillermo Hickman was escorted by parents Teddy Hickman and Guillermina Zaragoza. Skyler Fornera was escorted by parents Gary and Donna Fornera. Nathan Dameron was escorted by parents Steven and Danita Dameron.
Spanish exchange student Alex Juarez Garcia was escorted by Erica Cole and Jessica Spaulding, and German exchange student Emil Schreitmueller was escorted by Jennifer Belisle and Laura Beth Milam.
Rebels Guillermo Hickman scored two goals and had an assist. Skyler Fornera scored two goals. Alex Juarez Garcia scored a goal and had an assist. OC Calderon, Nathan Dameron, Aiden Mason, Branson Baker and Emil Schreitmueller each scored a goal.
Gabriel Derryberry scored Clarksburg’s goal.
McKenzie goalkeeper Nathan Dameron recorded one save.
Rocket goalkeeper Camden Blackburn recorded 14 saves.
