Rebels Volleyball Falls to Huntingdon in District Match

HUNTINGDON — The McKenzie Lady Rebels volleyball team suffered its first district loss of the season Tuesday, September 1, falling to Huntingdon in three sets.

Huntingdon took the match 25-10, 25-11 and 25-14. The loss dropped McKenzie to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in district play.

Charlie Cassidy led the Rebels offensively with four kills while adding two digs and two assists. Braylin Auvenshine finished with three kills, two blocks and one ace.

Kynadie Brown contributed five assists, three digs, two kills, two blocks and one ace. Addison Milam added two assists, one kill and one ace. Jaycee Stafford and Maggie Hall each recorded three digs.

The McKenzie junior varsity team also fell to Huntingdon in two sets, dropping its record to 4-4.

Madilyn Milam led the JV offense with four kills, while Abby Carroll recorded a team-high eight assists and added one kill. Serenity Bobo finished with three blocks, one kill and one ace, while Kynlee Barden recorded three aces.
