Rebels Volleyball Falls to Martin Westview, JV Wins

McKENZIE — The McKenzie Lady Rebels volleyball team fell to Martin Westview in three sets at home Thursday, August  27, while the McKenzie junior varsity team earned a two-set victory.

Westview defeated the varsity Rebels 25-9, 25-14 and 25-15, dropping McKenzie to 4-2 overall. The Rebels remain 3-0 in district play.

Addison Milam led McKenzie offensively with five kills while adding two aces, one assist and one block. Jaycee Stafford recorded a team-high seven digs and added two kills and one ace.

Braylin Auvenshine finished with three kills and two blocks, while Kynadie Brown recorded six assists. Natalia Taylor and Maggie Hall each added five digs.

The JV Rebels defeated Westview 25-20 and 25-21 to improve to 4-2.

Serenity Bobo and Kynlee Barden led the JV squad with four aces each. Bobo also recorded three digs and two kills, while Barden added six digs. Abby Carroll contributed six assists and five digs.

McKenzie returns to the court Monday, August 31, at 5 p.m. at home against Waverly.
