Recognized for Support for Mustang Football
HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — Huntingdon High School recognized five special people prior to the Mustangs game with Milan for over collectively 200 years supporting Mustang football in various roles.
Roy “Gino” Dill has served as the team's statistician for 50 years. He is currently starting his 51st year and continues to serve a vital role for the Mustang coaches, as well as preserving moments in Mustang history that will never be forgotten.
Mike Henson served Huntingdon High School for 35 years as principal, athletic director, and girls basketball coach where he made several state tournament appearances. For the last eight years he has served as the clock keeper.
Greg Mann began serving on the chain crew in 1986. For 40 years he has been a fixture on the sidelines running the chains and serving an important role every Friday.
Lynn Compton has also served on the chain crew for 32 years. He has been a staple on the sidelines, serving the Mustang nation for three decades.
George Russell Holder has been with Mustangs for almost 50 years serving on the chain crew, and has accompanied the Mustangs for every road game. He encourages the student athletes and Mustangs for generations and has exuded a positive sense of pride and energy on the sideline.
