Reese Carroll is the 2024 MHS Homecoming Queen

The M-Club selected the five beautiful young ladies and the football team and cheerleaders chose the queen. Prior to their appearance at mid-field, they were driven around by Steven Berryman in his convertible.

The first candidate was senior, Kortnee Brown. Kortnee is the 17-year-old daughter of Justin and Kristi Brown. She is a member of the Beta Club, M-Club, McKenzie Maniacs, Science Club, and Younglife. She is a 4-year member of the Lady Rebel Soccer team and has served as captain for two years and named Defensive Player of the Year. Kortnee plans to attend cosmetology school. Kortnee was senior, KD Cunningham, the son of Trell and Raven Tharpe and senior, Tate Surber, son of Tommy and Meredith Surber.

The second candidate was senior, Reese Carroll. Reese is the 17-year old daughter of Paul and Ashley Carroll. She is a member of the Beta Club, M-Club, McKenzie Maniacs, Science Club, and a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church Youth. Reese plans to attend University of Tennessee at Knoxville and major in communications and broadcasting. Escorting Reese was senior, Gage Crosland, son of Cammy and Taylor Estes and Kevin Crosland and senior, Skyler Fornera, son of Gary and Donna Fornera.

The third candidate was senior, Lydia Pate. Lydia is the 17-year old daughter of Jeremy and Gina Pate. She is a 4-year member of Rebel Cheer and serves as co-captain. She is a member of Beta Club and serves as president, Interact Club president, FCA, FTA, Science Club, Leo Club, M-Club, McKenzie Maniacs, and the Distinguished Scholar Program. She is a Girls State Delegate and was chosen to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Camp. Lydia plans to attend UTM and study Environmental Biology. Escorting Lydia tonight was senior, Landon Brown, son of Allen and Tonya Brown and senior, Martez Teague, son of Dominic Teague and Charles Halliburton.

The fourth candidate was senior, Allie Walker. Allie is the 17-year old daughter of Josh and Madeline Walker. She was a member of the Beta Club, McKenzie Maniacs, M-Club, Treasurer of the Senior class, and a member of McKenzie Church of Christ youth. She is a 4-year member of the Lady Rebel Soccer team and serves as captain and was named offensive player of the year, all district and all tournament player. Allie plans to attend University of Tennessee at Martin. Escorting Allie was senior, Trey Gilbert, son of Emily Dailey and senior, Guillermo Hickman, son of Guillermina Zaragoza and Teddy Hickman.

The last candidate was senior, Anna Weatherford. Anna is the 17-year-old daughter of Kelly and Clara Weatherford. She is a member of the M-Club. She is a 4-year member of Lady Rebel Golf. Anna plans to attend Jackson State Community College in the Radiology Tech Program. Escorting Anna tonight was senior, Aden Heath, son of Ashley Bryant and Harry Abel and senior, Craegen Travis, son of Jennifer Travis and Brian Travis.

Reese Carroll was crowned queen. She was crowned by the 2024 MHS Football senior football players Colt Norden, son of Nick and Lisa Stewart, Barry Swalley, son of Barry Swalley, Jacob Smith, son of James and Melissa Graham and Senior cheerleaders Baylee Barden, daughter of Justin and Allyson Barden, Reese Gallimore, daughter of Kevin and Kim Gallimore, and Laila Scott, daughter of Michael and Latisha Scott.
