McKenzie (April 11) — Stafford Roditis will continue his sports career at Bethel University — just one block from his home. Roditis committed to Bethel football during a signing ceremony at McKenzie High School on Thursday, April 11.

Roditis is a three-sport athlete at McKenzie High, playing football, basketball and soccer. He specialized as a punter/kicker for the Rebels and played as an end and receiver. Roditis had the privilege of highly successful seasons for the Rebels as they played in the state Class 1A football championship for three years, earning the state title in 2022.

He was joined for the signing ceremony by his family, classmates, teammates and coaches who also celebrated his success.

Bethel coach Dustin Kincaid said the local university is happy to sign Roditis, who is relentlessly tough, is a winner, and knows how to put points on the board or give the team great field position.

The Bethel coaches have watched Roditis in his high school career as a multi-sport athlete.

Kelly Spivey, principal of McKenzie High School, said Roditis has worked in the classroom and on the field. He has attended sports camps to improve his skills. He said he is eager to watch Roditis as he represents Bethel in his hometown.

Stafford plans to reside at home and study mathematics.
