Rotary’s Moore Fund Donates To Children’s Christmas Fund
From the Dec 23, 2024 e-Edition
McKENZIE (December 17) — The Fannye Baxter Moore Trust Fund, administered by the Rotary Club of McKenzie, donated $1,000 to the McKenzie Fire Department/McKenzie Police Department Children’s Christmas Fund during the weekly Rotary meeting held at Bethel University.
Ed Perkins, chairman of the trustees, said the trustees voted to donate the funds to assist ‘worthy, needy’ children of McKenzie. The trust requires trustees to provide funding for worthy, needy residents of McKenzie.
Police Chief Ryan White and Fire Chief Brian Tucker accepted the check. The city’s second annual event raised approximately $20,000. A portion of the funds were redistributed to Beta Sigma Phi’s annual Angel Tree fund to help needy families. The two projects assisted 132 children at Christmas.
