Rotary Learns About Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse
From the Apr 29, 2025 e-Edition
McKENZIE (April 22) — Chase Sanders, clinical director for the Exchange Club-Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse was the featured speaker at the Rotary Club of McKenzie on Tuesday, April 22.
Sanders said the Center serves all of West Tennessee outside of Shelby County, serves approximately 700 children annually plus additional investigations, and works to prevent child abuse.
Carroll County is the location of one of its advocacy centers.
Children are often abused by a family member or a known perpetrator. Many cases of child abuse go unreported. The prevention of child abuse is everyone’s responsibility, said Sanders.
Alyse McMinn is the new director at the Carroll County Carl Perkins Center, said Sanders.
