Rotary Learns About Lifeline Blood Services
From the Oct 7, 2025 e-Edition
McKENZIE (September 23) — Melinda Reid and Sherrona Taylor with Lifeline Blood Services were the featured program at the September 23 meeting of the Rotary Club of McKenzie.
Lifeline, based in Jackson, serves 18 hospitals, 14 emergency helicopter locations, and one ground-based ambulance service.
Blood cannot be manufactured, so that’s why blood donations are so important. The service provides 29,000 units of blood annually.
Lifeline has served West Tennessee for 78 years and now serves 22 counties. It is the gift of life.
Lifeline hosts community blood drives in each of the counties, plus collects blood at its centers in Jackson, Dyersburg, and soon at a new facility in Paris.
Donating blood is safe, easy, and makes a difference in one’s life.
