Rural Home Destroyed by Fire

McKENZIE (July 18) — A rural home was destroyed on Clear Lake Road, McKenzie on Friday, July 18.
Firefighters from departments throughout Carroll County and McKenzie responded on Thursday night and left the scene. They returned on Friday to a burning structure that was mostly destroyed. Firefighters shuttled water from a water hydrant along Old Paris Highway in McKenzie.
Henry Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Dyer County Armed Career Criminal Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Illegal Possession, Discharge of a Firearm
JACKSON — A federal judge has sentenced Timothy Adams, 55, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, to 15 years in federal prison for unlawful possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. United States Attorney D. Michael Dunavant, of the Western District of Tennessee, announced the sentence today.
