he family will receive friends on Sunday at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Abell, 83, died Friday, October 31, 2025, at Patriot Health & Rehab in Paris.
She was born on September 4, 1942, in McKenzie to William W. and Mary Lee Walker Scarbrough. She is a graduate of Greenfield High School, a member of Seminary Methodist Church, and a retired secretary/bookkeeper for Ferrell Gas Company.
She is survived by her children, Felecia (Donald) Day of White House and Kevin (Nancy) Patterson of Yellville, Arkansas, her sister, Diane Knott of McKenzie, three brothers, Marshall Scarbrough of Clarksville, Billy (Pat) Scarbrough and Edd Scarbrough, all of McKenzie, three grandchildren, John (Rosa) Day, Lauren (Rob) Spires and Logan Patterson and four great grandchildren John, Ella, Mary and Suzy.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Darriel Abell.
