DRESDEN, Tenn. - Sandra Kay Gallimore, 75, of Dresden, died Friday, August 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Kay's life will be celebrated with visitation at Bowlin Funeral Home on Sunday, August 9, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday, August 10, from 12:00 noon until the service at 2:00 p.m., followed by a burial at Sunset Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Bro. Kenneth Springer.
Born in Riverside, Illinois, to Jewell Williams and Estelle Blasingim Williams, Kay pursued a career in teaching after earning her bachelor’s degree. She was a cherished member of Mansfield Baptist Church in Henry County. A passionate traveler, Kay nearly fulfilled her dream of visiting all 50 U.S. states, having seen 48. Her beloved dog Maci accompanied her through many adventures. When Kay was not traveling, she loved spending time with her family.
Kay is survived by her devoted husband, Gerry Gallimore of Dresden; sons, Kevin (Kim) Gallimore of McKenzie and Brian (Kris) Gallimore of Dresden; brothers Jay Williams of California, Raymond (Faye) Williams of Arizona, and Mark (Dannyelle) Williams of Dresden; sister Sue (Phil) Dobbs of Arkansas; grandchildren Kasey (Barry) Jones of Jackson, Kaitlyn Ferrell of Dresden, Will (Madison) Gallimore of Martin, and Reese Gallimore of McKenzie; and great-grandson Blane Ferrell.
She joins her parents and siblings in eternal rest, preceded in death by her brother Bobby Williams and his wife Shelby, brother Dale Williams, sister Velma Temple and her husband Gene, infant sister Thelma Williams, and sister-in-law Julie Williams.
