Great Turnout For Scouts’ First Responders Night

PARIS (January 16) — Scouts Pack 28 had a great turnout for First Responders Night on Thursday. Air Evac–Henry County 123, Paris Fire Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Bethel University Nursing Department, Paris Board of Public Utilities, Troop 3 and friends from the Huntingdon Cub Scouts were on hand.
Air Evac Flight Nurses Cheryl Webb and Kayla Dodd said they had the privilege of sharing valuable lifesaving skills.
“We discussed and demonstrated how to control bleeding in an emergency, including applying direct pressure, packing a wound, and using a tourniquet.”
