From the May 28, 2024 e-EditionDomestic Assault — Noah Ray Chandler, 25, of Lavinia, was charged with Domestic Assault on May 17. Deputy Jeremy Smith received a call of a fight happening in the middle of the road between a husband and a wife. Upon arrival, the victim stated that she told her husband she wanted a divorce. The couple began to argue, and the victim attempted to leave the residence when the defendant grabbed her. The victim pushed Chandler’s arms away and Chandler shoved the victim out into the road as a vehicle was approaching. The vehicle who approached was an off-duty Humboldt police officer who reported the incident.
Theft of Property — Jerry Barber, Sr. reported that his license plate had been stolen from his White 2001 Ford Ranger some time between May 18 and 20.
