From the Mar 31, 2026 e-Edition
McKENZIE (March 25) — Hometown Health Clinic announced Wednesday a new role for Amy Smith, PA-C. The longtime provider is now also the Clinical Education and Quality Improvement Director.
In the announcement, the clinic said, "Amy will lead provider-focused education initiatives, facilitate clinical meetings and support ongoing collaboration among our advanced practice providers. Her focus will be on strengthening evidence-based practice, sharing clinical and operational updates and fostering a culture of continuous learning across our organization.
"This role is designed to support and elevate our providers through peer education, shared knowledge and clinical experience. We are grateful for Amy's leadership and commitment to strengthening the care we provide our community."
Hometown also reassured Smith's patients, "Don’t you worry… she will continue seeing her patients as usual; this does not affect her appointment schedule at all."
The clinic's announcement concluded, "Amy, we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see all you accomplish in this new role!"
