HUNTINGDON (June 17) — Dozens of volunteers from all over Carroll County gathered at Carroll County Inclusion Park on Monday to help lay 17 pallets of sod (8,400 sq. ft.) in roughly 25 minutes around the perimeter of the playground to help reduce erosion.

The Inclusion Park board sent out the request for help on Saturday, McCurdy Sod Farms, LLC. of Dyer, Tenn. delivered the sod Monday morning and the combination of help and timing Monday afternoon was perfect to get the sod laid just before the rain started.

The board thanked volunteers, "It was encouraging to see entire families, teams, and individuals from all over Carroll county come together to get the job done. Thank you for partnering with us. I hope this park brings lots of opportunities to serve others in the future. 'We are stronger together!'"

Pictured were volunteers from Huntingdon Soccer, McKenzie Rotary, Huntingdon Lions Club, Huntingdon Quarterback Club, Mark Dillahunty, State Rep. and Huntingdon business owner Brock Martin, and many others.
