Kelly Spivey is Winner of A.F. Bridges Award

McKENZIE — Kelly Spivey, principal of McKenzie High School and athletic director, has been selected as the A.F. Bridges Athletic Director of the Year for Athletic District 7, TSSAA.
Spivey is a graduate of McKenzie High School in 1989, earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Murray State University, a Masters in Education from Tennessee State, and an Educational Specialist degree from Tennessee State University. He has served in education for 29 years in Lewis County, South Fulton and his alma mater, McKenzie.
He is married to Mary Spivey for 28 years. She is a third grade teacher at McKenzie. They have two children, Tyler, a MHS graduate of 2019, a ICU nurse at Baptist Health in Paducah, and Anna Grace, a 2021 MHS graduate and a nursing student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Kelly is the son of Dr. A.L. and Vee Spivey of McKenzie.
